Friday was the second excursion of the course, with PHC students visting the beautiful Cambridge!
To start off, students were given a walking tour of Cambridge by our social activities team. The tour included: the Corpus Clock, King’s College and the Round church (to name a few) with our social activities team providing fun and interesting facts as the students were taken round.
Next, the students were off punting on the River Cam! (The city Cambridge was named after the river). They were taken in groups of 12 and shown some of Cambridge’s most beautiful sights by boat.
After the punting, the students had to complete their excursion task which was to highlight the best and worst parts of Cambridge (photos to come soon) before being allowed some free time to explore the historic city. The students then had time to play frisbee or see The Stephen Hawking Centre before going back on the bus and departing for Princess Helena!
After a long excursion, the evening activity for the students was to relax and watch “The Hunger Games” before heading off to bed. The students had a slightly longer lie-in this morning to make sure they could go to lessons today fresh and ready to learn!
